Bidvest Top Turf's Face of the Future

We are extremely proud of Vasha Thakur, our Bid Coordinator at our Head Office for being nominated as one of the Pro Landscaper Magazine ‘Face of Future’ recipients at the recent Futurescape Africa Trade show in Cape Town.

Vasha was one of 18 nominees that represent the young pioneers in our industry, and the people to watch in the future. To qualify for this prestigious nomination, all entrants had to be 30 years or younger.

As part of Vasha’s in-service training at the Durban Botanical Gardens, she has always been passionate about environmental conservation. She was a part of the ‘volunteer climate change activists’ in KwaZulu-Natal and hosted many informative campaigns that incorporated the need for Cooperates to get involved with green projects run by NGO’s.

We believe that Vasha is an industry leader because she has a passion and commitment for horticulture that was instilled in her from her student days at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) by her supervisor, Mr Jonathan Foley.

Vasha is currently studying towards a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and she hopes to become more involved with guiding our country’s youth in the ever-changing landscaping industry. She recently relocated to Gauteng to start a new career with Bidvest Top Turf as the Bid Coordinator for our Sales Team. We celebrate this award with Vasha and we cannot wait to see what lies ahead for this ‘Face of the Future’.
